Default 2s 7.4v lipo pack for airtronics mt4

I have a extra 2s 7.4v lipo flat reciever pack. Im wanting to know if i can run this pack in my mt4 transmitter in place of the AA batteries? I know the radio says input voltage up to 7.4v so im thinking it would be ok but im not sure. And i sure dont want to burn up anything in the transmitter! I already have a nimh pack in the reciever and just wanting to leave it there and use the lipo in the radio.

Yes, you can use up to a 2S LiPo or a 2S LiFe.

Ok thanks! Also let me ask this since its in the transmitter i have no way of monitoring the voltage. So how will i know when its low because lipos cant drop below a certain voltage.

Watch the voltage in the upper right corner of the display. If it gets to about 6.8V, I would charge it. 3V/cell (6V on a 2S) is a critical limit on LiPo.

If i recall the mt4 has settings for low voltage alarms and possibly cutoff. On the m12 i have it set to warn at 7.4 and turn off at like 6.8.. works out really well.

Page 64 of the manual: http://rcheliguy.com/global/airtroni...4%20Manual.pdf

There is an alarm but no cutoff feature.

I run the same pack in my MT-4 without issue.
