Ok I just bought an ambrc for 85 used off here. Then today I see a nip mylaps rc4 3 wire for the same price? I'm just wondering if one is better than the other I know they hold there value very well so I'm not crying about the price but for my next purchase should I hold out for the mylaps instead?

Depends what system is being used, they are both different.

The rc4 3wire only works on the new decoder system. The 2 wire i believe still works on both systems.

The rc4 hybrid will also work on both but I thought that one was like $120ish

Yeah, that. You want yours, as some places don't have the newer system.

The spot I race allows the use of the 3 wires and I know they do temperature and i.d and other fancy stuff. But was jw if it is actually better in some way? I noticed you can't even buy new ambrc anymore

MyLaps is the new name for AMB. Products have been updated, but for most practical purposes they are the same company.

Really, now, how important is it that, after the race is over, you know the temperature of your transponder? Unless it was mounted on your nitro engine's head, I say that is pretty meaningless.
