Which power supply

Yep, max charge rate is the MAH of the battery times the C charge rating. So the 7200mah pack can theoretically be charged at 7.2x6 = 43.2 amps.
I've found a 20 amp charge rate to be good speed. What is nice though with a 40 amp charger is you can parallel charge a couple packs at 40 amps. Very handy, especially if you run dual packs in something like a 1/8th scale.

Computer ATX PSU is the way to go. Such an easy conversion and there are a load of YouTube video guides as well. I use a 500W psu which can put out 32A at +12v. Plenty enough to power my Orion Advantage Pro and Tire Warmers at the same time. Granted they are not as pleasing on the eye as some of the RC PSU's on the market but I'd much rather buy tyres, lipos, fuel etc with the saved cash!!

Just a suggestion like I said I'm new to all this part I started with a onyx 245 didn't know chargers made such a difference till I got my hitec x4 and then I've been looking into dc
I don't charge 5 or 6 s only 2 and 4.
On my 1/8th scale I'm just running one single 4 s instead of packing 2 batteries together.

I was the 1st one to reply to your thread (I actually read what you typed) and gave you advice as did others. Instead of listening, you go in another direction with something thats not much better than your original one.
A good charger is somewhat of an important investment in this hobby, something that should last you a few years.
Consider this, even a year from now, can you guarantee that you won't have a lipo bigger than a 4S?
Oh and I'm so sorry for being such a jerk, I am from Canada and its cold up here.

Yes I guarantee I won't mess with anything over 4s, and lil roll eye smiling faces and smart comments are being a jerk. I know it's a important investment that's why I'm doing research and asking questions. Thanks again

I picked up the protek 620 prodigy charger and protek super pro 1000 power supply off amain.
Its been an amazing combo for the past year of heavy use. I love being able to charge at 20 amps per side. When I had my 4s lipos I could charge them in 15min.
Best money ive spent.
