Default Servo options for 1/10SC and Buggy

I need a new servo for my DESC210 I'd like it to be in the 35-60 dollar range. Not a big fan of Savox or Solar. The Solar I had in it died first heat I used it in. So I'm not going back.. Protek seem like a good option. any opinions?

Futaba, ko propo, hitec, airtronics, these all make really great servos.

That would be fine for buggy, I'd want a little more torque for SC.

I believe the Protek ones are re-branded Savox servos.

Servos are truly the realm of getting what you pay for.

I use this guy in my basher SCT, and it performs VERY well for the price. Decent speed, decent torque, very predictable. I have beat on it for 6+ months now. I have the servo saver cranked down and have had some SERIOUS wrecks at INSANE speeds. This thing is TOUGH.

I have never had any mks servos, i have heard they are good value though. I guess this confirms that.

For 9 more dollars (69 bucks) you can pick up a Spektrum 6040 which would be all you'd ever need in 2wd SC or buggy. I run them in 3 of my 5 race cars and they're fantastic.
