LRP ix8 cutting out?
So I bought an ix8 because rx8's are impossible to get right now. I've only run a handful of packs through it on my eb48 and I'm already having issues. At first, it just started cutting out after rough landings but then it started cutting out all the time. Sometimes power would return after a few seconds other times it just wouldn't return at all. I'm running a tekin 1900kv motor, futaba rx, and savox 2274. It seems like the esc is busted but a friend at the track thought it might be browning out. What do you all think the problem might be?

check rx plug.. had a guy at our track with similar issue it was the wires at attach point on rx plug.. cut wire re-crimped leads and that fixed his problem.. way to find out is. push wiggle move those 3 wires..Best.
Might also be a brown out..due to the savox..maybe a glitch buster might help

make sure your solder joints are right. my friend had the same problem, but with a tekin rs.

Make sure you have a glitch buster as you will want one with a Savox or any high voltage servo and the IX8.
As your issue seems to have started after impacts, I would look at all of your wiring first and make sure everything is tight and there is a good connection everywhere.
When it happens, do you lose steering or does the servo lock in one direction? That might help you determine if it is losing power (servo amp draw or bad wiring to the batteries) or if it is only the motor cutting out, it is one of those 3 wires or possibly your sensor cable. You may also double check your temps and make sure it is not cutting off due to temperature maybe due to lack of airflow or a failed fan.

My solder joints are fine. I can pick the buggy up by the wires and the wires hold strong. I don't have a glitch buster on there but I feel like it's and internal problem. Sometimes power cuts out completely and sometimes I just lost throttle. I had the same issue with my vtx10 and it turned out to be the internal bec.

Sounds like a "concussion". Same thing happened in my eTruggy w/ castle speed control. Exact same thing. Truck bottoms out after landing, speed control turns off and then cycles back on. So annoying. I sent it in and had it fixed under warranty. Same issue popped back up again months later.
Try the above stuff for loose wiring / switches / plugs, but I think sending it in is your answer.
