I just bought a hakko fx888 soldering station today but I don't think the tip is wide enough to heat 12 or 14 guage wire evenly. I've been using a very cheap iron with a wider tip that seemed to be a better option.

If anyone has this station, did you uprgrade to another tip, if so, what is the part number?

I bought this tip along w/ another Hakko FX-888 as my last one was stolen and I only had a 3.2mm tip. This one is 5.2mm and should work better, just haven't had the opportunity to use the bigger tip yet. --> http://www.ebay.com/itm/170862877458...84.m1439.l2649
