How old is the lipo? Is the low voltage cut off set on your esc for 2 cell lipo? Almost sounds like the Lvc is kicking in. Could be a bad lipo or one that has not been charged.

Did you temp the battery after running it? That's a low amp battery that you're putting a high demand on considering your motor and gearing and getting big voltage drops where it's hitting lvc. Get yourself a higher C lipo...at least 40 on a 5A battery. The lipo you have now only puts out 125A constant. Not enough.

the lipo is about 2 weeks old and yes the low voltage cut off is on. how long does it normally take for a lipo to charge? should i discharge then charge or just charge every time?

Gears I would start at 25/83. How long it takes to charge depends on what amp rate you are charging at. Are you charging at 1c? 2c? At 1c could be up to 60 minutes, 2c about half of that.

Balance charge it at 5a. Fast charge cuts off the charge too soon.

ok i went back to stock gears 28/83 lipo fully charged. if i lift the back wheels off the ground and spin the tires full throttle Green light on ESC stays green. when i put it on the ground it takes off for about a secound and starts flashing red light slowly?? yes i charge on Lipo 2 cell, 1c (5.0A) the only thing is that it only gives me the option to fast charge.
