Default Changing out rotor on brushless motor?

Just wondering if getting a new rotor for a brushless motor brings back the magnetism? Have a tekin 17.5 that has lost its magnetism. I can spin the rotor really easy. Alot more than my newer one. I know that the rotor is the magnet for a brushless motor so figured gettin a new one would fix that. Cheaper than buying a whole new motor. Anyone have experience with this?

Yes, you can replace the rotor if it has lost it's magnetism, this happens when the motor over heats or over a long period of time of regular use.
If the 17.5 Tekin motor that you're using is for a "stock" or "spec" class there's 2 different rotors that will comply with the ROAR rules.
One is 12.3mm rotor for higher rpm and the other is 12.5 mm for more torque.

A main hobbies sell them at very reasonable prices of $32US each.

Yeah I kinda figured that. Motor is just worn out from from hours of use. Was gonna go with the torque rotor but just wanted to make sure. Thanks Rob.
