Arrow can someone explain throttle endpoints with ESC?

messing around with my radio tonite and noticed that i could raise my EPA (end point adjustment ) past 100% all the way up to 140%, this brought a couple questions to mind. First when i calibrate my ESC for full throttle/brake/neutral with the controllers endpoints set at 100 or at full 140 will i notice any difference? or will the ESC still recognize that as full throttle? and secondly if i had it set at 100 percent and calibrated my esc with it at that setting would raising it to 140 be causing it to push any more/too much power possibly damaging things? im looking to crank as much power out of my truck as possible and have a temp gun to make sure im not raising the temps too high. any help from the guru's is appriciated

interesting, so what your guessing is that you would still get the same power but with more control/smoothness? (im horrible with electronics so all the talk of pulse width and such confuses the hell out of me haha)

so from what i can gather the best setup seems to be set my EPA at about 130%, then calibrate the esc, then crank the EPA up to about 135-140%?

cool, thanks! im gonna head out to the track today and try it out

insert small *face palm*

some esc's will have an issue with a calibration at less than the radio's max % others will not. NONE will have an issue when the % is set to the max epa.

Max out the radios throttle epa % and you're guaranteed to have no issue.
