Why not just run a separate 2S LiPo/LiFe?

as silly as this sounds, space is ata premium right now

the cc bec pro is rated for 6s in cars and talking to castle, they said it would fail very quickly if used

Note the Dimension Engineering unit doesn't stand a chance, 2.5 amps is barely enough if that for many single hi performance 1/10 servos.

The Castle units aren't rated for cars above 6S.

The Western Robotics deal seems to be the only one worth a shot.

if that does not work for you then the HERCULES-HC is the way to go.

A 2000mAh 2S LiPo is not much bigger (may even be smaller) than any BEC or regulator that will be capable of handling your power requirements.

I highly doubt there is anything specifically designed for RC that will work for your needs. There are voltage regulators out there that would work, but they are expensive, and the more current you need the more expensive they get. You also have to figure that a regulator/BEC is one more thing that can fail, and is a lot more likely to fail vs using a Rx battery.

What speed control are you using, just out of curiosity?
