Looking at the VX or VXX as a comp ESC. Does either have reverse option for practice?

Read the manuals on ORCA's site and the specs state Forward/Brake/Reverse (Factory preset at Forward/Brake) which implies it is available but I see nothing in the program steps to enable it.

Does anyone know for sure if reverse is available option?

You have to have the program card to make any adjustments to the speedo and you can put reverse in it using the card.

Ok, this is good.
Which Fw do I need for 17.5 Blinky?
Also want to run mod at an alternate track, will I need to upload different FW for different setups?

For the VXX - the latest ROAR approved blinky software is version 4.1 - 140419A. If you load this version, to switch between Blinky and Mod - you would just need to change the settings using the Program Card.

No he is the only person. Try emailing him again. He was out of th country but back now as he responded to a couple of my emails last night.

Yes I did it when I got my VX last year and the 1s too... You gotta do it using a laptop and USB thingy.

Just make sure you get the firmware for the VX not the Vxx... Just checked on the website, they have the same V4.01 firmware for both esc. I guess both are the same updated firmware but each compatible for the specific esc listed...
