You should be able to turn the drag brake up so high that it will feel like your using push brake as soon as you let it off. If its not then its possible you have a speedo issue. Perhaps you have bumped your batteries wires backwards at one time. A slight bump can cause to blow some of the fets but still work in forward just fine.

Thanks for the reply. Even with the drag set at 25% it makes no difference. With the wheels off the ground you can notice the motor braking but it is so slight that with the car on the floor it has no affect at all.

No chance of wiring issues as its new and never used in anger. I just thought someone may have had the same issue before?

What kind of motor are you running? Mod or stock?
Have you try running different B.F. ?

Motor is an Orca TX 8.5T and again is new.
I have altered all the settings for brake force, drag, delay ect. In fact I don't think there is a setting I have not altered in order to spark it in to life!

I will suggest you to reset the ESC by setting it to the default setting. and then try setup the D.B. again to see if this help!

Would this fry my Esc?

I'd like to use a orca vxx Esc ( rated 720a peak current) on a 4.5t 550 motor inside an off road 1/10 sc truck.

The manual says 540 motor type.

Can I get away with this or should I sell the Esc?

I see ORCA has a new ESC coming out. When can we expect to see the VX3?

Some guys have ran 550 motors with them but I dont think you can go crazy with timing and such. Keith may be better to answer that question for you.

Hey have too many issues and it would force you to mount your speedo only one direction too. Some cars this is not easy to do. The switch has a harness that plugs in and will have different lengths available. All black in color along with the receiver harness in different lengths all black as well.

Actually... Now that you say it... I have all my speedos with built in switch in an awkward pos.
All black, different length harnessess sounds amazing.
Only reason I like the built in is because of the space savings.

Btw, is the vx3 for 1:10 tc 540? Stock and mod fw? I kinda feel it's time to try something new.

Yeah I prefer the external switch. Looks good. I just got hooked on the VXX but I do like new things. 😊. Oh building a mod and need a good setup for a VXX and using a 5.5 in tc. Thx
