My ORCA Program Card came alone in its already opened packaging. Was there supposed to be some sort of cable in the box to connect the card to a computer?

Or, because I only see a connector for the VX1 ESC on the ORCA Program Card , I assume this card with 3.3 software cannot be reprogrammed to 3.0 software (ROAR legal). So, I need to buy one of the ORCA USB Link cables to get 3.0 software directly into the VX1 ESC via my laptop computer? Correct?

And does anyone know if the 3.3 software will be submitted and approved by ROAR soon?

Many thanks.

Only 3.0 software is listed as approved on the ROAR website.

Would be nice if it was 3.3 software because the brakes actually work for 1S packs...LOL

To everyone asking about the new speedo's and software please email everyone of the people below. They are the ones directly responsible for voting on the approvals after they pass the inspection. Which the inspection took place a few weeks ago and everything has passed. The people listed below have not followed through on their end of the process.

I am not sure why it takes so long for the EXCOM to vote and unfortunately that part is out of ORCA's control. The VXX has been on the market for 6 months but up until Jan 1 ROAR had no one to even do Speedo testing. Now they have someone who is probably one of the sharpest individuals around doing the testing which is great. He got them done in just a few days of taking the position with ROAR and the detail he goes through is unheard of.

Actually, I started in October of 2013.

I should also remind everyone that it would be very good form to already be a ROAR member when making requests to them.

Sorry I stand corrected on that. I know that orca tried to submit before IIc and roar said no one was there to do testing. And we were never notified they had brought someone back in to do it until I spoke with you on here through pm.

Either way I appreciate how quickly and throughly you got everything some on your part.

Thanks
Ea

Rob King has put the vote poll up on the ROAR forum for the EXCOM members to vote. So as soon as they vote the 3.3 should be legal for ROAR use for the VX1 and VX and the VXX Speedo itself.

My first big race with an Orca was last weekend at the Snowbirds and It went great. I'm excited to start being able to use the 3.3 software.

Thanks Orca for the great Product.

There are a lot of people. I am running an almost year old 7000 pack. It has a slight puff to it and it still has an IR of 3.8 total for the pack. Prob one of the best batteries I have had. I run a 6000 in my mod sedan and its IR is at 2.3. I have 2 of the new 7500's coming and can't wait to run them.
