Wow that's a long straight fit a 17.5. I tried boosting my 17.5 one day to run with the mod guys at our track when the 17.5 class didn't make. Our track is smaller then yours at 96' X 40'. I ran a 3.88 fdr with 50* timing on the motor. I ran no timing in the ESC but used 30* turbo. It had great pull down the straight. Obviously not as fast as a mod but I was only .5 off the pace. After 6 min I came off at 130*. With you bigger track you might try these and play with gearing to get what you need.

Hi guys.
What do they mean by " turbo timing" never bigger than "timing"
Also, has anybody got a good setup for 17.5 boosted with a d3.5 or KillShot rpm. The straight is about 30m and some technical sections.

Turbo is just as it sounds. Gives you that extra rpm. Just like in a 1:1 car. I posted a setup a couple post above on what I used one time. You might try it and see. I saw your post in the killshot thread and you run a 6.63 fdr. The setup I used was with an 3.88 on a 96x40 track. Maybe Keith will chik in with something soon. Nobody runs much 17.5 boosted around here any more.

Here is the 17.5 boosted setup. We usually use same setup for 13.5 and 17.5 boosted. But this setup is for the Orca RX2 motor.

This is a more aggressive race setup
17.5 RX2 motor timing 2.5 lines on the motor. FDR 6.5
Timing start: 5~10%
Timing 33*
Timing interval.0
Turbo timing 56
Turbo interval +2
PWM 8K(Ver3.0)

I will suggest you try out this setup frist before you jump in to the aggressive setup.
Timing start 5~10
Timing 27
Delay 0.1s
Turbo 44
Turbo inter. 2
PWM 8K
D.B. 1%
B.F. 1K
Initial B. Off
FDR 6.3
Motor ORCA 17.5 RX2 with 1330 rotor 4.5bars timing on Motor came off after 5mins 150f*

NO. It will not work with different versions. You will either have to up grade your VX to 3.3 software, buy a 2nd program box or update software on the program box each time you switch between speedo's (not an easy task obviously).

Thanks as I thought, updating to the 3.3 would be the easiest option but its not readily available as of yet.

I had my settings on

Boost-36
Timing start - 10
Timing interval -3
Turbo timing - 58
Turbo interval -2
PWM- 8
FDR 6.27 with D3.5 , came of at 83deg C
This was with 2 long straights being +/- 45m - 55m
I will try your settings on the shorter track which will give me more bottom end if I'm not mistaken

Your setup might also work on a smaller track. You can try set both the timing interval and turbo interval to +1~+2 and then lower the turbo down to 56*
