I have been running a HRS module in my 3PK for about three years now. Last weekend at the track, I noticed that I seemed to keep losing control of the car at the same spot (about thirty feet away from the stand). It was like the receiver was losing voltage or out of range.
Yesterday, I ran a different car in my cul-de-sac and noticed the same problem. That car has a different receiver, but it is also HRS. My range is down way down on both cars all of a sudden. By deduction, it seems to be a failing module. Has anyone else run in to this? My non-HRS receivers/module seem to be fine.
ah my coltage was set to 2.5volt i assumed the lower the voltage the better it will operate i will report back.
i thought that a short would be consistent regardless of 4 or 6 cell.
Nope, my understanding is that's you're voltage output. Set it all the way up.
I did a search of this thread and found someone else asking this question back in Dec. 2005. The only answer posted was to call the 800 number. Does anyone know where to purchase an antenna replacement? I did a google search and it showed a price from Horizon Hobby but when I go to that page.... its not to be found.

The module antennas are not sold to the general public. You need to send the module in for it to be serviced.

Im having a problem with my DX3.0 radio/tx losing range or bind. I have 0 problems at my local track but when I go to 2 other bigger tracks I have intermitent loss of signal at the far corner of each track. I lose power/control for a few feet/seconds or till marshalled and it comes back to life. I have fine radio voltage,no binding/bends or cut in rx wire. I rebound it and it worked fine for a short time but the glitch comes back. Does it seem like the rx or tx? Other than when it is at the farthest distance all is good. No other drivers have a problem like this and I cant figure it out. I dont understand why if I rebind it it is fine for awhile then comes back. It would seem to me like a rx but why at that point of the track all the time? Thank you for any info......

I was having the same problem (losing range) at far corner of my track. I didnt know if it was the RX or the TX so I took a gamble and sent the RX to Horizon. I described that it was intermitent also and they just replaced my SR3000 with a brand new SR3001 without charging me for shipping or anything. You will be without a RX for about 3 weeks though.

Thanks for the reply. I bought another rx to try this weekend to see if I have any problems. [none as of yet] If so Ill send them both in, I just hate to go 1 month with out my good radio.
