Default Brake Control

As we know, this ESC has tons of options, but sometimes is quiet hard try to understand some of them, especially in the brake panel. Probably, The only way to understand changes in the ESC Setup is testing, and see what is the best point for the driving style.

However, i would like to know what can i expect if i change, increase and decrese these options:

1. Brake Strenght
2. Brake Rate Swicht Point
3. 1st and 2nd Brake Stage Rate

Thanks.

I have a very new HobbyWing Xerun 3.1 and the original fan has already failed. I've only had one day of practice on it. When I turn the car on the fan spins for a moment then stops. Even if I try to hand spin it it won't start up again. It's nice that the ESC came with a spare, but I'd really like to know why I've gone through so many fans. Perhaps we need to be using ball bearing fans that are more able to withstand bouncing around in a car? Is there any warranty on my fan? Thanks!

@xray: I may have missed it, but what kind of car are you running and what kind of track or tracks are you running on? Generally since you are running a 4.5, I would suggest any of the mod profiles the are built in to your unit. Do you have the programing box?

Lol I.killed both fans in the first day on my.2014.
First one I killed.immediately.clamping the shoegoo second one I guess was just really delicate.

Ill prob pick up an orca or speed passion fan to replace. I wouldn't hold my breath about waranty on fans. Maybe if you run into a hobbywing rep you can score a spare or two.

I'm looking for a new esc as I had accidently stuffed up my justock esc.

- Will be racing 21.5t and 13.5t blinky touring car
- Must have in-built switch
- No pre-soldered motor wires
- Lightweight and compact designs

The esc that ticks all these boxes that is currently available seems to be the stock spec v3.1. The new zero spec seems more appropriate however it hasn't been released yet. Any idea on a release date/month so I can decide if I should just get the stock spec or wait for the zero?

What???
Who would you pay $3.99 to?
I would say you have spam issues. The program box can't charge you money.

Get the 3.1 Stock Spec. I got one recently for 13.5 blinky. Great little compact speedie.

only run a fan if you are running Mod, not needed for anything else,

But yes the 3.1 Stock Spec is also a great ESC, I even ran a 5T in TC the other week without any dramas (yes I ran a fan then), I run one in my F1 and spare TC and would have no problems replacing the full V3.1 that I currently use if I blew it up.

The V3.1 have pre-soldered motor and battery wires. Luckily they are all black this time but are 12 gauge. They use some serious solder because I really have to crank up the heat on my solder iron to get it liquified.

The V3.1 stock spec is pretty compact and light. I have the regular V3.1 also (with the aluminum case) but its only needed for really low turn mod.
