Does the usb link come with the esc and program card or do you have to buy seperately? Can you do all the settings with the program card?

Thanks

You can do all the programing with the program box. If you run a V3 or V3.1 you really won't ever have to even hook it up to the computer. If your running a V2.1 you will need to hook the esc up to update firmware. Say from blinky to boosted.

The V3 can go from blinky to boosted by just hooking up the box and putting boost and turbo to 0.

You just download the pc link off the Hobbywing site, It's free.

The new 3 in 1 multifunction program card runs both the v3 and the 2.1 and 2.0 versions of esc one software package all escs included .You will need the pc to download new versions but thats about it.

The 2 in 1 program card will hold either the v3 software or the older versions and its easy to update with your pc very simple.

Flux ( I use paste) is a must and a quality soldering iron.

Agreed, IMO, high power (80w+) with a big tip are a must. Trick is to apply a lot of heat to a small area, quickly. A basic iron just won't cut it.
Does how how much heat the alloy case and heat sink takes up though..

Cut the wires off , tin the tip and they'll come right off.

So I notice there is a new Xerun stock spec v3.1 that I'm a bit interested in. Does it have the same exact firmware and functions as the regular V3.1, excepted slightly limited due to 100amps versus 120 of the V3.1?
