Default XQ Power servos?

Is there anyone using these in a car/buggy application? They seem to have pretty good specs as well as price. A heap of aircraft/flyboys seem to use them. I've bought a couple for my dnx408 project to see how it goes.

Interested in hearing people's experiences.

The XQ-S4618D looks like an awesome servo. 0.1 Transit Time and 400+ oz/in of torque at 6V. Where can you find these things?

Venow Group (Australia) sell them, I think they are the Aust distributors, not sure if the US Venom arm are getting them.

They can also be found on ebay, but not the particular model you're talking about. Also on www dot himodel dot com.

The pricing of these things are really good considering the specs, guess its a game of 'wait n see' as to when I get my hands on them.

Reports from other forums I've been reading suggests they are pretty good.

Can't seem to find the XQ-S4618D anywhere yet. Considering these servos all seem to be in the $40-$60 range, I really want to get my hands on the 4618D.

Can get them from sdshobby.net, but they seem a heluva lot more expensive than the other servos in their range (maybe because its brushless?)

http://www.sdshobby.net/xq-power-205...de-p-8919.html

I grabbed two of the XQ-S4020D titanium geared 20kg servos ( they're about US$35-50 depending on where you source them)

Only downside to these digital servos are they are not programmable (does'nt bother myself too much, but may be an important factor for some racers/tinkerers)

I think it's because they are brushless. Savox doesn't even make a servo that's comparable to the XQ-S4618D. 400+ oz/in at 6V is insane.

The 4020D could be an awesome alternative to the Savox 1256TG. They spec out almost the exact same, at that. Tempted to pick one up for my 'Pede, for the sake of overkill.

Redwing rc has them in the US&A.

The XQ-S4020D looks pretty good. Coreless, brushless, titanium gears and waterproof!

I wonder how many amps it draws? 300 oz-inches is ridiculous. I'd love to try one and see if it works with my receiver.
