Novak Havoc Sport - Locked Rotor Problem, Solved!
I got a used Havoc Sport from another seller on this site about two months ago. After hooking it up, about every third or fourth start from dead stop resulted in locked rotor detection error. This happened in forward only and forward/reverse mode. It happened with different batteries and radios. It happened with different ballistic and SS series motors. The seller had good feedback, so I was confused.
I had not yet heard back from Novak customer service, but, since it was broken anyway, I tried one more thing. I removed the circuit board from the case (simply by removing the 5 screws that hold the heat sink down. I then gave it a good dousing with Power Shot motor spray. BAM!, back to normal.
I hope this can help other people having similar issues.
