I guesse for a OCD person like myself the $40 is worth it. Don't know exactly why having two different languages on the display screen bothers me however as mentioned the OCD within me is the cause.

Thank you again. Looks like I can go with the EX-2 and add an extra $40 for the USB adapter and still save quit a bit of coin over the EX-RR.

Again much appreciated my friend. Looking forward to having a new radio thus I especially look forward to having the 3D throttle trigger again as it's one of the major reasons I loved my Euros EX10.
My pleasure! I do wonder if newer models (manufactured after a specific date) come with the updated software/menu... For example, if I were to buy the $240(ish) EX-2 again today, would it come with the English only menu option?

That's a good point. I am going to email KO America to find out or possibly the fella at Absolute Hobbyz may know.

Software v1.06 has the English only menu. More details can be found here: kopropo (dot com) /america/support/ics-interactive-communication-system

At the link above, you can also download the ICS software. I'm told that you will need the USB adapter, which is about $40 IF you need (or choose) to update the software on your radio: amainhobbies (dot com) /ko-propo-ics-usb-adapter-high-speed-kop61028/p252545
I have the Kyosho Syncro Ex-6 which is about the same thing as the KO Ex-2 for MiniZ. Literally the same radio, different Brand Name.

I also want to change language. Bought mine February this year from amain and came with both languages.

I wonder if I can use this cable and software to change it? Anyone knows?

Also, somebody selling this ICS cable around here?

I believe you can upgrade software to v1.06 but as Chad advised you would need ics USB adapter. He put the link to the adapter above.

Broke my trigger at the IIC this year on my EX-1 KIY (not sure of my version, but it was purchased in March 2014).
I'm trying order a new trigger, but they all say for Expert Grip. How do I know if I have an expert grip? I also see an Expert Group 2.

Trying to sort out what I need or should get. Triggers are ~$10 but say expert grip; the whole replacement is ~$125, and would rather not go that route unless required.

Recommendations? Thanks.

Ditto. Robert is da man at KO Propo America.

And...when you turn on your transmitter, it will indicate which version you have...briefly (LOL).

Just wanted to share. I've used an M12s and a Lynx 4S in the past and just got to try the EX-RR. Imo this is the best driving TX that's on the market. I feel super connected to my car and it's super easy to get corners right. Just feels right.

I agree. Had many radios also before the KO. Had the EX-2 first, and loved it. Tried the EX-RR, loved it more! Got it now and I'm pretty sure I won't need another upgrade for a very long time. The KO is by far the most comfortable (grip and trigger) radio I've ever owned or held. The only gripe I could see is the weight, a little heavier than many other radios, and the imbalance of the weight in your hand can be annoying.

I've had no glitches, signal dead spots or so on with either of the radios so far. That has been a serious problem on a couple of the tracks I race on with any Sanwa (Airtronics) or Spektrum radio. Most of my buddies have made the switch to Futaba, but that price is just too outrageous for a radio that isn't any better than an EX-2 with a fancier screen.

Hello. I have 2 questions and both are about drag brake. I have an EX II.
1. I use the ESC to get the drag brake close, and then I goo to the feel menu, and apply negative feel on the throttle to tune the drag brake. Is there a better way to do this?

2. In the Euro truck class, the ESC does not have a drag brake feature in brushed mode. Any suggestions on how to add some with the transmitter?

As far as I understand Neutral brake (brake at neutral) and drag brake is the same thing.
F.Y.I. here is a copy of EX-2 features from KO web site:
Throttle:
Trim, Travel F, Travel B, Sub Trim, Trim Rate, Turn Speed, Return Speed, Punch, Curve, Reverse, Neutral Brake, Brake Override, ABS, Accel, AutoStart, IdleUp, Feel
