Default Dual lipo adapter for Triton2 EQ charger

I have been running nitro truck for a couple of years now but I recently purchased a FLux HP. Thsi truck came with a Triton2 EQ and I need to know if this charger can charge two lipos at the same time. I am new to lipos and charging them. I have a total of 4 packs / 2 Turnigy nano techs 5000mah 2c at 35c -70c and 2 Turnigy nano techs 5000mah 3c at 35c -70c. I would like to charge 2 of these at the same time. The lipos are brand new and I dont want to burn down my house.. Any help would be appreciated

All chargers can charge multiple packs at a time as long as the totals are within specs of the charger and some simple rules are followed for each type and config.

Since you have LI types then parallel config is best so the rule is as follows:

Any number of packs can be done simutaneously as long as each pack contains the same number of (series) cells.

Default Adapter

Thanks for the reply! I think I understand you but I need to know where to get the adapter that will allow me to charge two packs at at time. I also heard something on another forum, it said something about a different balance board that was needed. Does this mean that the balance board that comes with the Triton2eq needs to be swapped??? If so, to what? How long would it take to barge both 3s lipos mentioned above if I charged them in parallel??

It is a matter of connecting all the + leads together and the - leads together. I happen to use a power dist box or one can use a power supply splitter or depending upon which batt connectors you use you can find many TEE connectors.

The balance connection is seperate and the stock balance board will only work for balancing one pack at a time. There are para-boards available that wire the main leads and the balance leads in parallel. Maybe they are from epbuddy in Columbus , Ohio? Hobbyking may also have them.

Ultimately they just need wired like this site shows. http://www.scriptasylum.com/rc_speed/lipo.html It's simple when you see it pictured.

A pair in 3sx5000 packs in parallel on a T2EQ:

Lets use about 12 volts for an average and the max current on the T2EQ is 8 amps.

DC power 120 watts / 12 volts means that it'll do 8 amps (that is 8000 mah / hr)
AC power 100 watts / 12 volts means it will also do about 8 amps most of the way thru (8000 mah / hr)

The pair of packs will take a bit over an hr to deliver 4000 mah PER pack.

Default Great info

Thanks for the link to the diagrams!! That was very informative. It looks like I will need a better/bigger charger. I have been looking at a few. I am basically looking to charge my lipos two at a time in about 30 mins. Any suggestions on a budget friendly charger and power supply that can accomplish this? Thanks again for all of ur info!

To charge 2 x 5000mah sized 3s packs in 30 minutes requires a charger with 252 watts output (20 amps)

Depending on how much you want to spend I would recommend the following

Icharger 206b - $130
Junsi 350w power supply - $70
Parallel charging board - $15

Cheers

I thought these were 3s?

But anyways in addition to the wattage requirement it will also require 20 amps (if done in parallel)
