Futaba vs. Airtronics. vs Spektrum vs. ???
So, I have a Futaba 3pk. It's still on FM. I haven't made the switch to 2.4ghz (I was out of the hobby for a few years).
Just got a new car and need to get a receiver. I didn't want to buy an FM receiver that I would probably replace in the near future, so I started thinking about switching to 2.4ghz. I looked at the 2.4ghz module for the Futaba, but there are about four different brands for that as well.
So... I may just get a new radio and switch to another brand.
If you could choose a new system from any of the current brands, considering both the receivers and radios (and prices), which would you choose and why?

I've been using the same $100 Airtronics MX-Sport for three years now. Never had a problem. Futaba is good from what I can tell, but I've seen so many glitching problems with the Spektrums. They seem to have problems with certain servos, etc.

Also remember to do the grip test, before deciding
I'm still on FM, I've also been out of the hobby for some years. I dont plan on upgrading in the near future, since good FM recievers can be found dirt cheap. For instance LRP and Nosram. And since almost noone else uses FM anymore, it's easy to find a free frequency
