Default Team Orion Vortex Race Spec BL ESC

Trying to set up a new vehicle.

RT5 -Thunder power Lipo - Above ESC ORI 65006 - Ko Propo Servo - Thunder Power 17.5 BL Motor.

I do NOT have the PC interface.

Can I get it in to a "blinky" mode with out the PC interface?

Does anyone have any help they can offer on this. I want to enter this vehicle in a race this weekend.

I have searched every channel I can think of.

100+ views and no one knows?

Takes about 16 seconds to put my other ESC's in Blinky.

+1 to trevors comment. The 65109 is the 90A version and is fixed timing, so it is already in blinky mode. If you want to boost you need the 160A version

Thank you for the reply.

I wondered if the name of the ESC was literal.

So there is no timing in this ESC?

That is very cool, that means I can simply run it as is in 17.5.

I do have to turn down the motor timing to -10 degrees though or this thing cogs like nobody’s business.

there may be some interall fixed timing but still legal to run in blinky classes. Hmmm, you shouldnt have to run - timing to get it not to cog. What motor are you using? Mine runs smooth as ever with a D3 17.5 with plenty of timing in the motor.

Thunder Power, I can go up to 40 with my other one so I am stumped.

Yes I tried a trinity 2 and it also cogged at low RPM, that’s what made me think there was a bunch of timing or boost in the ESC. When I set negative timing in the motor cogging goes away and the thing is a rocket?

I am new to the ESC so it kind of has me stumped for now, you referred to mine as an R10 and that may be the newer version of what I have.

ahhhh....I think you are referring to the older Orion esc that was a rebadged KO BMC?? I dont think Coach had R10's

if so....yes that esc has timing, not sure what profile is zero timing......if you go to KO's site, you can probably dl the manual.

this esc I bet is the one you are referring too, Nigel had some of those units
