Default Mah is not accurate

Hi, I have a 5400mah 3s Lipo, when I charged it with the Venom Pro it said it was full and the mah was no where near 5400 it was more like 2300mah and I don't know why. Any help would be appreciated.

That's how much juice (mah, energy) was put back into it.
Think of 5000, as a full tank of gas
and 2500, as half full
If your battery is performing up to "advertised" capacity, then you only ran it down half way. Don't be surprised, if you don't get the "Full" amount of juice.

Most you should put back into a lipo is 80% of capacity, so for your 5400, that's 4320mah. Otherwise you're overdischarging the lipo and you won't get the best life from it.

Your charger displays how much mah was put into it, from the beginning of the charge cycle, NOT the total it is currently holding.

Voltage, on the other hand, measures it's total amount of voltage, during it's given state of charge.

If you were to "cycle" a battery, by discharging it, then you would be able to measure the amount of mah, it was storing.....but, now since you've measured the mah, (by discharging it), your battery has no more stored juice, and you have to charge it again.
