I like that method, but it only works after you have already bought the battery.

I worked for a battery pack manufacturer 20 years ago and I know back then there were only really 2 or 3 sources of imported cells anyone could be using in their packs. Not sure about today but I would be willing to bet it is the same deal now with very few actual cell makers to provide all the pack makers. There are however a lot of pack maker marketing people it appears.

Really good info guys, thanks for starting this thread. I was getting confused with these crazy numbers some companies are claiming.
I remember that with sub-C cells, there were only a handfull of actaul battery manufacturers, but every company had some magic combination, that made their cell THE STUFF in the pits, and I'd bet to guess it's the same with Li-po batts. Which makes these crazy power claims even crazier.
