Default Help me understand, ESC Rated Current

So, I have recently picked up a Losi Ten SCTE and am looking at power options. I own a LRP SXX V2 TC Spec. Everywhere you go, you read that for a Pro4 motor, you should pair it up with a RX8. But, when you get into the technical specifications, you read this...

The RX8 rated current is 210A per phase.

According to the TC Spec manual, the LRP rated current is 400A per phase.

How many phases are there? If the RX8 is rated at nearly half that of the LRP, why wouldn't my LRP run the Pro4 safely?
