No it did not. I bought it at the LHS. I think it's closer to 3500kv.

Thanks for the info Mike.

What happened to the Fantom Facebook page? Was going to update my race results for the season but it's gone. Can someone help?

Default Apex 17.5

I am getting a 17.5 Apex this week to run in my b4.1. What would a good start on the motor timing be since its a blinky class. I was running maxed out on my D3 with 72/33 gearing, and needed just a little more so I am hoping the Apex will give it to me.

I am running 34/75 (2.6 trans) on a very technical track with my Apex 17.5 w/12.5mm torque rotor.
The straight is about 100 ft.
136* after the 7 minute main pushing it pretty hard.

For battery I'm running the Fantom 6500/65c.

I set tq the first round today and reset it every round after that.
In the main I got piped the first lap and struggled to get through traffic and ended up 3rd.

APEX vs ION3?

I'm running an 17.5 ION3 in my RC10T4.1 and love it. I'm about to buy the APEX 17.5 but I noticed the ION3 is still for sale.

Has anybody figured out which motor is best for Indoor Off-Road?

Thanks!

That really depends on if you are running blinky or boosted.

Apex for blinky and Ion3 for boosted.

And the 12.5mm high torque stock spec rotor is a great upgrade for both motors.

Anyone using the apex 13.5 for 2wd SC? Just picked one up to use on blinky and haven't seen much talk. Hope it works out lol

I'm geared 19/84 with mmp, Thunderpower 2s 65c. 8 degrees of timing advance and my boost ramp is 2800-6500rpm.
Try gearing 17/88 with the Low RPM range at 4500 and the high RPM at 11,300 with a Cheat timing at 30 and see what happens. Thing should be a missle and still not get too hot. I run my 10.5 like this but 17/88 and 35 boost and it is wicked fast on small tracks and larger tracks. I run this with a 10.5 at 18/88 and it is wicked. I have lots of lowend and also losts of mid to high rip as well. Best combo I have ran so far in mod in my XXX SCT.
