Gens ace 40C 2S 5000mah battery terminal melted

Hey guys I melted my positive side terminal on my gens ace 40c battery. Not sure why it happened!? Anyhow the battery will not work any longer. Anyone heard of this before?

Was this a fixed wire or banana plug battery? I have a couple of the plug type,just curious.Pics?

it was the female side banana plug that is fixed into the case of the battery.

update: I split the hard case and resoldered a new castle connector to the board on the gens ace battery. Im going to the track today to see how the new connector works.
