Default 3pk issues

after using my 2.4g 3pk system for about a year i noticed my mp9 would tend to spin out on hard right hand turns, it turns out that after running for a while the brakes were slowly being applied when turning right, i thought it was the throttle servo or the reciever, i changed both problem still there! ayone heard of this?

That sounds more like the servo wire is damaged and bare wire is touching metal somewhere. I've seen people run the servo wire on the inside by the center diff spur. Not sure, but check the servo wires.

it's definately not a wire,i tried a new servo and reciever outside the car and had the same result,i pulled the battery out of the radio and reinstalled it and the problem goes away for a short time. it seems to be the radio or the fasst tx mod.

Sounds like you're TX is cross-channeling. It could be either the module or the TX. If you can borrow someone's module try that to confirm which one it is. Either way, send it in to service for a check up.

I just got my 3pk and it is the best radio I have owned hands down. Very happy with it!

I know this is mentioned a few pages back...but I can't get mine to fit properly.

I have the 3PKS Black with the Spektrum Pro (clear looking case) and I am having issues with the cover fitting with the Spektrum Pro Module? The cover does not even look close to fitting over the top of the module. It's not the antenna part that is not fitting. It's that the module sits up too high and doesn't allow for the cover to sit properly. Anyone else have this issue?

Also, on another note, should you use a failsafe still when using the 3pk with spektrum?

Some of our guys have had to dremel some on the cover to get it to fit. Failsafe is usually needed when running nitro to avoid a run away.

Ryno, I got my cover to fit, but it took some work to snap into place.

Is there any difference in models for 3PKS 2.4 system? I see some have the blue sticker and others the orange sticker?

Been covered before, the orange sticker is newer than the blue sticker. Otherwise no diff.

I know of people running 1/8 nitro buggy that have had problems with thermalling using the orange sticker receivers.

The older ones (blue sticker) were the ones where they realized there was a prob. Futaba put out several bulletins and postings on their site telliing people to mount them on their side, not the bottom and not to use foam as a cushion.

These changes apparently have made some diff. I still see complaints though about them overheating. I also seen feedback from them after telling them to mount on the side and not use foam that they have fixed the problem.
