Check another channel and nothing. Go back to channel 71 and it works. I dont understand why it does that.
Another problem im having is both my futaba servos (throttle & steering) which are standard 3003, they seem to keep humming and they both get hot. The radio is in Hrs mode and if i try to change to PPm mode turn off the radio and turn it back on, nothig works. Put it back to Hrs mode and it works but the servo hums.

My Servos and R303 reciever is being used on my 720 with of course my 3pks and i have a feeling that my reciever is bad but i dont want to assume. If you guys could help with my lil scenario her it would be much appreciated.

Thanks
HRS mode will only work properly with digital servos.... This could be your problem as the 3003 is an analogue unit. HRS mode will cause the servos to overheat because of the way the voltage is delivered.

Reset the TX to PPM mode (FM) and try again.

I tried changing to PPm mode and the servo's dont work. Before that I had 2 airtronics 94362 servos and it did the same thing in Hrs mode. I switched it to PPM mode and the same thing. So with either the digital or standard servo they tend to hum and i can't change the channel either. It stuck on one channel.
Thanks for the help.

Were you able to change channels in the past? Has anything else been changed when this started happening? Is your battery strenght OK? Tried cleaning the receiver?

I hate to say this; but you should disconnect everything, and go back to basics. Start with each componet and see what does and doesn't work. Will motor work with servos disconnected, will servos work with motor disconnected, if you have personal transponder same as previous, check everything you can.

Not trying to be a smart a** but if you didn't know that HRS needs digital servos, how familiar are you with this radio?

Make sure you cycle the power when switching modes. Just a thought.

Good point, if you don't turn it off and on again; it may not reset the values. I had forgotten about that.

Each system will only work with their brand Rx. You won't be able to used a Futaba FASST TX with a Spektrum Rx and vice versa. Also, the Futaba unit will utilize the HRS system, while the Spektrum cannot (slower response).

I just got the ASSAN 2.4g X8 version 2. if the weather is good I'll get to try it out and compare it to my 3PM FASST.

with EMS shipping it took 5 business days from HK to Illinois. I'll do some comparison testing.like range and stuff.

i'll be at a bash party, with about 10-15 cars running at the same time. should give a pretty good idea of how well the system runs. 90% of the guys seem to be running either futaba or spektrum 2.4g

Yup, just don't run it in HRS-mode or you'll fry the analog servo.

Spektrum also got SPM1015 DSM System for Futaba HRS. That was designed for 3PK.

I was thinking if anyone tried using Spektrum HRS with Futaba made HRS Tx, Rx module or vice-versa.

Does it worked?

FAAST technically has a faster response than the Spectrum Pro module, but if you can experience the difference you are better than most drivers on the plannet !
Be careful - while it might be the "cool thing to have" some FAAST systems have been suffering from thermal shutdown problems in some 1/8th gas buggies - i know the Xray 808 had problems, just check out Xray's forum site and search for FAAST to see what i mean. A mate running a 808 switched from FAAST to Spectrum and fixed his problems, he wasnt able to run 20mins without going into shutdown.
BUT, if you arent running gas offroad this shouldnt be a problem.

The FASST system always has issues with the 808. The Rx box is so close to the engine, the heat makes it shutdown. If using a 808, then use the HRS FM system.
