I was wondering because I bought an HS-5965MG servo from my lhs last year and after running it for over a year at practice yesterday the bottom of the case melted and upon inspection the board inside was just black and melted as well, has this happened to anyone else? First the brakes went and 5 minutes later it just died and smoke billowed out from the radio tray. I thought the battery may have had a short but the reciever and my trusty old 5955tg still worked and there were no exposed wires on the battery or the servo. The reciever works and the 5955tg still work, and I checked the throttle, brake and aux ports on my 3300 reciever and they all work so I think it was just the 5965mg that had the problem. My other question is will Hitec still repair or replace the servo? even though it's an older model because my lhs still sells this servo would I need to see them to get a reciept to prove my purchase? because I lost mine.
