Two 380 motors on one ESC?
Could you run 2 380 size brushed motors on a high rated single motor ESC, like a Mamba Monster or something?

Most 380 brushed motors draw substantially less current than 540's do. You could run a pair of basic 380's off of most any decent esc. You could run a LOT of 380's off of a Mamba Monster.
I run a pair of 380's in a rock crawler paralleled (all positives together, all negatives together) to a Castle Sidewinder on 3s and have zero heat issues.

I'm building a recovery boat and I'm installing two jet drives that use 380 motors. I'd like to go with the Traxxas 18 turn 380 motors but didn't know if I could run two of them on a single motor esc. I guess it all comes down to how many amps two motors pull compared to what the ESC can handle. I have a Mamba monster ESC that needs to be repaired and I was thinking about having it fixed and use that. This boat will only need enough power to push another boat and won't be used for long periods of time.
