Default Is my esc dead or am I missing something.

Here’s what’s happening, I have a Mamba Max Pro that I run a sensored Cirtrix Slotless 550 on. I recently had a brain fart and connected the battery to it in reverse polarity, killed my battery and I thought my esc. The weird part is that the esc still turns on and initializes as normal. However, when I pull the trigger it just stutters. If I remove the sensor wire it works with no stuttering and everything seems fine. I’ve also tried another sensored motor on it with the same results. I’ve also tried a working sensor wire with no difference in results.

I took it apart (it's well past it's warranty) just to get any visual indicators but couldn't find any scorch marks or anything to indicate there is anything wrong.

My question is have I fried the sensored part of my esc and somehow managed to keep the senorless part fine or is there something else I’m missing.

You may have just damaged the sensor port

Try a normal sensorless motor on it

Send it to Castle

They will repair / replace it for a fraction of the retail cost

Cheers

Thanks for the quick reply I figured that would be the case. Have to pack it up and send it in.

Cheers,
