I asked this on another thread but have yet to get a response, so I was wondering if the castle 2200kv 1500 series would work with the mamba max pro esc? Or do I have to go with the mamba monster esc?

Yes I have ran my 1512 2650 for months on my MMP, I really suggest getting a Castle BEC as it will make the motor/servo run 10x smoother. I seen your post over there. I ran my 2650 in my SCTE and it's a beast. I would imagine the 2200 would be similar. I tried 2s and it was pretty slow for the track, i thought. 3s was a little much but not too bad temps were great and so were run times. The MMP is only warrantied up to 3s with 15 series motors. At least thats what castle recommends. I got basically a free 1410 castle motor and put it in my SCTE and it's impressive. I also just bought a Tekin 2650 sensored 1/8th scale motor and I am waiting on the Sensor wire to arrive to compare it to my castle. So yes you can run that motor just gear like 17 to 20 tooth pinion and probably run 3s, 2s might be enough.

Thanks guys, I'll prob. end up buying the mamba max pro esc/motor combo 3800kv, and use my 2200kv as a backup... And I will def. get the castle bec if I do.....
