I just ordered a nice cheap radio last week and got to try one at my local Track on Friday. I was skeptical at first of the quality feel of the radio but after seeing it and feeling it I'm glad I bought it. and for $35 a radio and $7 a reciever you can't beat it for just messing around. here is the link Fly Sky FS-GT3B

If you havent ordered a radio yet i would go with a airtronics mx-sport $100. your probably going to get what you pay for in a radio. just my opinion.

One of the kids at our local track purchased the GT3B. I looked at it, and drove his stadium truck with it. I use KoPropo Helios, and a Futaba 3PM MX 2.4.

It felt good in my hands, easy to read display and was very responsive, almost as fast as my Helios. Its response is on par with my Futaba. I would recommend this radio to anybody.

you can also check out the spektrum DX3C. it's like $130, but has 20 model memory so if you get more cars you can just get receivers for them and bind them to the same transmitter.

The GTB3 has 10 model memory..adding 8 dollar recievers is alot esier to swallow that the 50 dollar ones from spektrum. Spektrum is going to the technology the GTB3 uses anyway (channel hopping)...Im sure they will increase the price for it too...

I got mine in the mail today and It is Awesome! Not only did I easily bind all three of the recievers I ordered, it also came with a cable for use with the VRC software mentioned in the PDF instruction manual you download from the hobby partz website. VRC is only onroad cars and I'm an offroad type but heck it's good practice. The recievers are only 5-8 bucks, It'll be worth picking up a bunch plus an extra backup transmitter and I still will spend less than buying spektrum. I won't be able to track test mine for another week but I'll be playing around in the meantime.
