Like the title says, I have heard people say that the MHZ type radios are the fastest and I am thinking about buying a new radio. Futaba 3gr, there is a 27mhz or 40mhz version for $100 or there is the FASST version for $220... Is the FASST faster? How does the Mhz type radio compare to all the other 2.4s? such as Spektrum, etc?

I believe the 2.4 systems are faster, but if you are asking this question, you probably won't notice(most normal people can't). The main difference is the 2.4 is pretty much glitch free, there are no crystals or channels, up to 80 cars can run without a problem. The downside is that one brand of transmitter usually doesn't play with another brands receiver. You can get a 2.4 radio for about $100. Hope this helps.
