had some good runs recently w/ both 17.5 and mod (6.5) team powers motors. i got tested last week - D3.5 17.5 vs Powers. i was able to take the hot lap down but had to leave before racing. cannot wait to see how things shake out this weekend..

nope. v2 will NEVER be legal, unless whatever they remake is called a v2 . the can needs to have slots to measure stator lengths/etc. i hear something is in the works... but i'm not too concerned. the v1 motor is nice...

another TQ in 17.5 TC for the Plutonium against a field of various different motors (and an ever increasing pack of Team Powers motors). i failed to convert my TQ into a win -- guess i need to work on my starts . had the fastest car by 0.2s per lap...

What's your timing and FDR? Have you ran the new Orca also? Thanks Chris.

While we await Hanulec's response, I ran mine recently with the 12.5mm rotor, max timing and a 3.65 FDR and it was a beast. The motor ran cool, had excellent rip out of the corners and adequate speed for the relatively small outdoor track that I ran.

I am very pleased with these motors.

People that know me ... Know I don't mention gear ratios. This happens for a ton of reasons... But mostly so folks don't blow stuff up by blindly applying a gear ratio.

The 12.3 and 12.5 rotors both have their strengths. Each weekend I alternate between the two working on different gear ratios. The 12.3 needs less gear...

Right, every motor, track and race condition varies, so a ratio that works for one may not work for the next.

how does these motors compare to the competition (trinity, reedy tp motors etc)
what rotor is std in the 17.5? what rotors are option?

going from boosted to blinky here in sweden and is looking for a good motor for the winter, quite small and technical carpet tracks (usually around 75ft straights) fdr limit 4.0

This motor is probably the fastest legal motor on the market. It takes an overheating well without letting out smoke like some others. Motors can be purchased with 12.3 or 12.5 rotors. 12.5 for a small carpet track makes the most sense.

Do you have a FDR limit imposed upon you??

I've never seen a FDR limit in a multi manufacture environment. Usvta requires a specific brand and ets has a specific motor model...

Smaller rotors might be better as they have more rpm...
