Yea, I'm gonna check into it, didn't make any sense to me. It ran well before it gave up. I've seen their 17.5 motors run and get hotter than mine, and no issues. I'm sure it had to be a bad one, otherwise it just doesn't make sense.

Ethan, sent you a PM back, thank you (typed the response above before I saw your message). Customer support is definitely an awesome bonus with this company already!

Just gotta say I picked up a 17.5 v2 motor and they're incredible! I picked up a torque rotor and I'm excited to try that out compared to the stock rotor on our medium carpet track (96ft straight).

I had my stock v2 at 4.1 when everyone else at my track was geared at ~3.8 and I never felt like I lacked for speed.

I have to stick with ROAR legal motors, so I can't run a V2, but have heard they were great. Unless I am mistaking, only the V1 is ROAR legal?

Oceanhighs - Send that motor to:

Union City, CA 94587

We'll take care of it

And right, the V2 isn't a legal motor to run. It's for the Asian market.

What results will you get if you shove a 13mm rotor in your Plutonium 17.5 can?

You will see a significant increase in torque.

We used this trick a while back -- taking a 10.5 and dropping a mod rotor into it to make the motor faster.

Putting a mod rotor in spec makes the notor illegal for spec racing.

It all makes sense now, a700 winning so much, special TQ wire employed, need a new fan to cool that motor...hmm. :-)

p.s. Also, not sure when it changed, but best "Location" ever!

have tried the plutonium v1 motor for 3 race mettings, v2 sensorboard

we have a 4.0fdr limit in our 17.5 blinky class

the motor is SLOW! no power at all, have tried to gear 4.0-4.4 and cant find any speed, 60 degrees of timing, doesnt make much difference,
the only good thing is that the motor doesnt build any heat, has been 75 degrees (celsius) as worst.
swapped my old packs out for new gens ace packs, very little difference.

i have switched to d3.5 now as all drivers using them is smoking me on the straight, and have much more power in the infield too
