My research tells me that the MT4s is only worth the extra cash if you are using it in combination with the Airtronic ESC....the extra speed not not noticeable

MT4 is without a doubt one of the best radios around in response, feel and ease of use, it's hard to go wrong with it.

MT4S is basically the guts of the M12 inside the MT4 case, from what I understand, that gives you an indicator of how popular the MT4 form factor was.

There is almost nothing I dislike about my MT4, although given the S has a backlight, I'd actually be tempted to upgrade just based off that...

seems to be. The MT4s is backlit and that is probably the best update to the MT4. Night time racing sucks without backlit

Mine is powered by a tiny 600mah LiFe I had laying around from HobbyKing, I charge it like every few meets.

Can the wrist strap loop also accept a neck strap....or is it too weak?

I use 4 AA ever ready NiHi batteries that I bought at a big box store. I also bought a standard NiHi/NiCad charger from airtronics. I had to change the plug to make it work. But I have had these batteries in my MT4 for over a year and have not had them go dead yet! Michael

you can use a neck strap, but I would not say it is comfortable to have that weight on your neck. I had it on my kids radio in case she drops if off the drivers stand, lol

Another suggestion for tx battery, $9 shipped from the us warehouse. Just need to jack a connector from a trashed servo or the mt-4 battery tray or whatever and it fits right in.

Been in use for 3 years or something now without any issues.

Can anybody share their experience with Nitro buggy...and also the use of the temp sensor on a nitro engine...thanks.

Was looking at getting the new Futaba 4PX, but have to curtail the expenses.
Radio is great, but temp sensor is useless: tune for performance not for temps, and actually you have no time to see temps during race. The only telemetry thing useful is RX batt telemetry along with voltage alert and with low-voltage failsafe, no need to buy electric switch to make LVC for LiPo.

This one fits well, doesn't afraid full discharges and lasts weekends - https://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/...ver_Pack_.html

Manufacturer of aftermarket wheels offer them for different models so you have to make sure you buy the correct one. The Mt-4s Wheel is direct bolt-on since the radio is identical in every respect minus the red, gray and the wheel design.

I use the the temp senor on my jammin x2 nitrobuggy and I love it. At first I had to reset the temp alarm because I would start running the car and it would go off and I looked down at the screen and then I reset it and rarely goes of now.
