Default Can you balance a 2S lipo using a 3S port?

Sounds like a dumb question...but the really dumb questions are the ones that are not asked . I have a Turnigy Accucel-8 150W 7A Balancer/Charger and have been running 4S packs so it's worked great. Recently I bought some 2S packs to run short course with and just now noticed that it doesn't have a 2S balance port! Please let me know if anyone out there knows...thanks!

Good day!

You might be able to put 2 two cell batteries in series and charge them as a 4 cell as long as you can get the 2 cell ballance plugs too work some how.

It should work fine.
I use the 6s/8s ports on my various chargers for 2s to 5s packs & the key is to align the Black as the #1 pin & have the orientation the right way.
The two little guide lines on the plug won't be perfect, one will line up & the other one won't but it will go in.

The charger will let you know if something is wrong...
If it has different modes like "LiPo Charge, Balance, Storage, & Discharge"
You'll have to set it to "Balance"

It will work if you align the neg of the port and the neg in the balance connector as mentioned. You may have to shave off one of the bumps on the balance connector - I don't like forcing these, the internal wires that stick out in the connection break easily and then you've got a real prob.

Thank you all so very much for the ideas! I will look at the problem again and use your suggestions to see if I can get it to work...I don't like to force these kind of things either...I might have to pick up another charger that has the 2S port to be safe.

Thanks again!!
