Default Spektrum DX3S problem...help fast if possible

Hey guys...just put new battery into my Spektrum DX3S, and now, when I turn it on, in the top left part of the screen "CAL" is displayed, and nothing else at all on the screen is there...what happened? How do I fix this? Thanks for any help!

You will probably have to contact spektrum tech support on that one. It sounds like you somehow entered some kind of factory calibration mode. I've never had anything like that happen with mine.

Yeah..I contacted support. Sadly, I won't hear a response right away. Good thing I have a backup DX2 radio just in case. Saved me for a race day tomorrow. It will have to do. :P

To do it on a 3R you need to go to "reset" on the main menu and scroll down to parameters and then cycle controls. Not sure if it's the same for the S.

Lol...that's the thing. I turn on the transmitter, and immediately, the screen is blank, and all that appears is "CAL" and nothing else. No menus. :/

Ouch. Well, I guess I'll wait for a reply from Spektrum on repair cost. Maybe it will be a free service...if it costs too much, I'll just go DX3R.

I am about to ship out tomorrow. I was reading on website (Horizonhobby) and it says their is a minimum charge of $30 or so. Are you sure it will be free? Is that because of the CAL error, that it will be free? Thanks again.

Yeah, honestly, it sounds like something as an error on their part. All I did was change receiver pack, like normal, and powered it on to see "CAL" on the screen. I don't see why they wouldn't fix it for free (Besides shipping) Thanks for the info.
