Default Robitronic iCube - A few questions

Hello All,

I picked up one of these ESC's a few days ago for a good price, and I wonder if anybody has some experience with them. I also have a few questions:

- The manual mentions a "2 cell Lipo" mode. Does this mean it has a voltage cut-off, or is it just a profile designed for the higher voltage that 2 cell lipos provide?

- I plan on using it for a TCS car running on a silver or black can motor, or maybe a 27 turn at most. Should I use a shottky diode or power capacitor? I figured I wouldn't bother due to the mild nature of these motors.

Also, if someone has a spare/unused programming CD and cable kicking around, let me know. I'm interested in playing with the settings if possible.

Thanks for any help.

i did have one, from what i can rember it had a cut off, if motor does not have a diode it would worth be fitting one as i think these stock back emf from damaging the esc as the icubes are only fwd only. was a good lil and i mean lil speedo and done me well when i had mine :-)

Thanks for the reply. I think I'll use a shottky diode, for the reason you mention. I won't bother with the cap for now.
