Default mmPro with ballistic 10.5

salutations folks, i have the mmPro with the ballistic 10.5 in my blitz im running in sensored only mode. here is my issue.

My initial launch is perfect but once im rolling if i stab the throttle there isnt much there. is this a throttle curve issue if someone wouldnt mind giving me a nice castle link setup for a high bite ,tight indoor track. keep in mind that id like to stay in the 120-130 after 10 min area

Unless you dont mind running a higher temp, your not going to find any extra performance. Ballsitics will give you the most when run around 170* or so.

My guess is you need to add some timing advance in your CHEAT settings.

i just changed my gearing from 20/88 to 18/88 and it has a little more snap . would you mind posting your castle link setup so i could take a look at it?

thanks a ton

I run touring car, so im not sure how much my settings will help, but for a 10.5, I would start with:

CHEAT mode:
30* timing
5500-20,000 RPM range

20% punch control

Go from there.. Check your temps every couple of minutes to be sure you dont get too hot, in my experiences anything under 180* is fine, and above 200* is the uh oh zone. Add more timing if you want more top end. With a 17.5, I run all 50* timing. As you get faster motors, you dont need as much timing.

Heres the thing though, when i launch everything is perfectly set up but if i get off the throttle then stab it there isnt alot of punch there. Now this is the first 10.5 ive used as i normally run an 8.5 in my SC truck. so maybe its just that.

Just from my experience something isnt adding up.

The 10.5 will be a little slower, but through the magic of timing advance, you can make that 10.5 way faster than an 8.5 with no timing advance. In the touring cars I race, on a track with a 200ft straight, 10.5's can push 65+mph

It sounds to me like one of 2 thigns is happening:

1. The ESC isnt seeing full throttle. Try re-calibrating the radio the the ESC.

2. The setup you have is bottom end heavy. You would either need more gear or more timing to get it to pull through the RPM range.

If you are still in smart sense mode, that could make it seem bottom end heavy. Try CHEAT mode, and add timing as you feel nessecary. RPM range is important in CHEAT mode, I would start with the range I posted above.

well good sir 8) i redid my radio set up and used your settings and all is well. i went a lil light on the timing "22" so i wouldnt be to far over 50 but its just as fast as my eight and a half was when hooked up to my havoc 3s. after 18 min at 18/88 gearing i was at 119 degrees

Good to hear it worked out for you You can increase the timing and get even more speed as well if you have a need for it
