Here are my settings from a big meet here last weekend. Car was wicked fast.
T3 FDR 4.9
Duo 2 17.5 timing between 1st and 2nd tick approx 10 degrees
Drrs 2
AMTS 21*
start rpm 10500
SC boost 3
SC delay 0.2
punch -2
Car ran 0.2 slower than a Tekin v208 with a 14yo gun driver vs myself a 34yo mid pack hack. Very happy with this set up.

Yeam im running the Xerun 120A and the hobbywing motor 5.5t combo. Its quick, but doesnt really seem all that so I'm going to try 528mod. My battery is a 5200 30c turnigy pack.

My advice to you is try another brand of lipo (nothing against hobbyking) but we have tested there turnigy packs on 1/10th scale and 1/8th scale and the voltage drop on scale is very rapid not linear whatsever .
There packs are just not cut out for racing .
Alot of the other brands like intellec ,he energy, pro amps, orion and so on had a voltage drop on first load but then levelled off and were linear for a period longer than 8 minutes before they dumped but the turnigy drop 2 minutes after its start up load .
so please try another lipo brand and you will see the difference dont forget 5.5T do demand lots of current and a stable current and voltage drop .
let me know how you go

I'm looking to purchase an extra esc for 1/12scale but I have some questions (I've been out of racing the past 12 months):
If I buy the Xerun 120A 1S and I install the new software 422, I have all the extra's I need (boost - turbo ...).
I can use it in my 1/12 on 1 cell lipo or even tranfer it in my Durango on 2 cell lipo's.
Does the DC/DC booster work good ?
Can someone report on the use in 1/12 scale ?

After a few false starts got it going well, the DC step up works fine, no radio problems, though im not so sure what should be happening when the lipo cutout kicks in, i seemed to lose steering at the end of the straight, so i just turned the cutoff off.
it seemed to require a different setup and gearing approach than the locals with LRP and BD's, i used higher settings, and lower rollut (43mm in 10.5t)
After racing finished, turned down the settings, and dropped a few teeth to see how it would go with a mod motor, it was really fast, and ultra smooth. Motor was dead cold but the speedie cover plate was quite hot. Might be worth putting the heat sink on if your body allows when running mod.
I believe the booster is self detecting, requires no changes. I did hook up a 2S pack to make some setup changes between runs and it worked perfectly.
Its a bit bulky compared to a Tekin or BD, but have to keep in mind it is a true 120 amp speedie, not a stock specific unit.
Im sure we will get more out of them, just a matter of trial and error

Thanks for the quick reply.
I haven't seem them in black yet. Could you tell me how thick it is without the extra heat sink ?
I have Thunderpower 5000mah 40C from last year. Would they still be sufficiant running a 10.5 LRP (3 year old motor)?
Could you show me a pic of your 1/12 car with this esc installed?

may i know what is maximum temperature for the Xerun 120A could survived? friend of mine running esc Orca TC Spec at 5.5t motor... the FET burnt when esc temp is 80-85'c... the motor temp is about 45'c... thinking about switch to Xerun...

i figured the lipo would be the first weakest link.
I have a suggestion tho if possible: Can each mode or profile on the program card carry a different software version as well; having a mod profile, then a stock profile w/o going to the computer?

I have version 1.62 of the Hobbywing software on my PC and yesterday when I opened it there was a message saying there was a new version of the database available - 1.79. When I click on 'download' it then returns a message saying 'update failed'.
Am I doing something wrong or did anyone else have the same problem?
