Gotta agree with you on that muzza. pretty stupid comment when all your asking is how to program it not "give me a setup"
I will be home in 10min and will find you the link on rctech for a great thread
Guy has done a few videos on how to set them up

Here you go http://www.rctech.net/forum/electric...ings-only.html

that thread has a few youtube vids that show you how to set it up.
make sure you set your self as the administrator of the program or it wont work

no worries buddy

i dont run TC any more so probably not so much help on setup.
if no boost is allowed run mod software,if boost is allowed run stock 211 software, i used to start boost around 7,000 rpm (depending on car/gearing any were from 20-40 boost) any lower i found it bogged the motor if a fair bit of boost was used (10.5 turn) timing acc was around 450-500
and turbo was .01 delay and any were from 10-24.

basic run down (if iam wrong others will correct me lol)

BOOST= if adding boost the settings work like this
eg.
start rpm 7,000
boost 20 deg (not sure if this is acctaul degrees or just points as you have 64 deg or points you can seperate between boost turbo)
timming acc 500 rpm per volt

basicly at 7,000 rpm boost will start (start rpm)
every 500rpm 1 deg/point will be added to boost (timming acc)
so every 500rpm if 1 deg is added and you have a total of 20 deg,all 20deg will be added by 17,000 rpm

TURBO=
turbo timing 10deg
turbo delay .1
turbo slope 10 units per .1

once all boost is used (so with my eg at 17,000rpm) if you have the throttle held full for .1 of a sec (turbo delay) turbo kicks in
since we have 10 deg turbo it will drop those extra 10 deg in, in .1 of a sec (turbo slope)

been awhile so there mite be a few new changes but that a basic explanation how it works

Muzza,

Without knowing what you were racing no one can effectively tell you what settings to use or what functions to use. It is that simple. I am not having a go at you as such. It is just that so many people put these type of questions on here with no basic information on what they are racing. If it is a "blinky"class then no settings are really applicable. With "turbo" style classes then we need to know whether onroad or offroad so that the settings that you should be using can be recommended.

And I dont see anywhere where I abused you ... unlike yourself

Ohhh ... when you say you have the program box , are you referring to the LCD optional box or the standard box as you will need the optional box to change the software around

go re read his post, he was asking how to program it and how it works.
he did not ask for a setup
so no there is no need for him to supply car type,motor,on-road offroad as you suggested.

think before you post

Yes you should.

Without knowing what he is running you cannot help him with how to setup the ESC (setup as in what software to load, what functions he should use or whether he actually needs to do anything at all). You answered after he said he was running 13.5 in Victoria which is boost racing. Then you can help with suggestions on what to do and what will work for that racing thus saving him destroying motors or even ESC's.

I try to help racers but first they must let us know what they are racing. If for example he was racing "blinky" then he would need to be directed in that direction , not to the boost software. Sorry if this really upset people

It simply makes helping far easier. Also non boost racing has changed ... you cannot run Mod software ... you must run "blinky" mode software which has virtually no setting changes (basically only brake and drag brake) Things have changed in recent times

Some people have been into rc for years and dedicated a ton of time to it and thus I think they get into a different world of thinking where most of this stuff seems obvious and honest questions from some people seem lazy or stupid...
Personally, sometimes I find not even knowing what questions to ask.

Good to have people like you who still can understand a newbie's perspective...
Thanks.
