The ezrun 35A's are rated for 3S as well. However in my case, the car was static (wheels not even spinning) and i was trying to push a heavy object with the car which resulted in a current overload and it killed a mosfet. I ran 3S for ages on those ESCs with no issues as long as you use a seperate BEC. Otherwise they will overheat and the green LED comes on flashing.

Clocked those buggies on 90km/h via a GPS

If i whacked my new xtreme stock ESC and motor combo in a buggy now, it would be insane...

conclusion dont go to crazy on the your settings and you will not have a problem running x12's
Thanks Angelo for your concern. I carefully read all of this and understand "problem" with X12 high mechanical timing.

However my problems were with the startup and loss of boost:
See post 7496.

Hope the 101224 will remedy this issues.

Just ask Frank or Dumper. Mario is only helpful for spec truck oval info. LOL!!!

Nahhh, Mario's cool, and always good for a laugh.

Get it done CRC boys!!!

yes alot of drivers say the 1224 is better for the x12's ,once michael is back ill be on conference call with him so we can make some changes to make sure the 930 stock relates to the 1224

Thank you Cobraracing for answering my questions on 1/8th dirt oval. I think I will go with the 150 due to the massive amount of power being laid down on the track constantly in oval as opposed to off and on power on offroad.

Hobbywing is fast in Blinky too! I used the 120 amp 1s to win World GT and 17.5 12th scale at the Sweep Challenge at Middle River Hobbies this past weekend!

CRC has speed controllers in stock!! To order or if you have questions, log on to www.teamcrc.com, or call 315-338-0867. We will get you set up.

Also, Team CRC will be at the Snowbirds pitting down by the track, if you want help or just want to check them out. Feel free to stop down and talk to Team CRC/Hobbywing drivers Brian Wynn (me), Frank Calandra and Mario Ficco for anything you might need.

The hobby store at the Snowbirds will have Hobbywing speed controllers in stock.

Just ordered Hobbywing Xerun 80 Amp ESC, 2250 KV motor, and programming LCD.
Is there anything I need to do when everything is received other than setting the ESC to motor and radio. For example update the LCD box, update the ESC program? If so to what?

This will be in a 1/8th dirt oval car, running on 4S 5000 MAh 40C Lipo.

Probably dumb questions but the EZrun ESC that I have in my offroad buggy has never been changed in any way after initial set up.

You need to disable the Low Voltage Cut Off in the 508 no timing software. It will work fine otherwise. A fix is coming Real Soon Now.
