Question: I currently run an Orion R10 pro in 17.5 blinky TC. Would there be any advantages to running a HW speedo with this stock software? Different step profiles?

Does this mean I have to have both 930 STOCK in ESC and prog box?
Thx again,

Alright. i guess ive had my 3.1 set way aggressivly for my 1/12.
I tried to run the default modify mode settings with my Tekin Gen 2 4.5 and Reedy 6500mah 65c and still had power dumping around the 3 minute mark.
I turned the boost timing down from 20 to 10 and still had the timely drop in power. sometimes id get the power and others i wouldnt. maybe rpm related, ie i got on the power after slowing down too much to get into a corner and the punch maybe just sagged the battery?
a reedy pack should be able to handle this car me thinks...

well after hooking it up to pclink, the minimum voltage recorded was 3.1 volts.

what do people run for their punch settings? default is 20. ive tried turning the 1st punch rate down to 10 but if the punch rates are throttle position dependant and not rpm, that probably wont help me. should i run maybe.. 5 and 10? just to stop the battery from dumping so hard?
sucks. car was fast a shyte and had a very nice feel.. for about 3 minutes. was able to have a race with someone i cant touch in stock but then my power just.. goes away. or comes and goes unpredictably...

Ever ran modified in 1/12?
really, just run blinky, or put turbo and boost on 0....
Need more speed, use a bigger pinion.....

Try this as a starting point for settings.

It's for a 3.5t, but would probably be a good guide to help start on 1s settings.

The new V10 motors should be arriving in stock fairly soon.
I've just received 2 21.5 today. Can't wait to try them out.

It will be a interesting night to see the difference.
Luke's 417x will loose the Hackmoto and get the v10.
Dean looses the T2 and the XERUN and gets a 417v5 with a v10.
I'll be driving a 417 with one of the boys old motors.
Somehow I think I got the short straw.

Hello HW friends.

It has come to our attention that some are having issues with their escs going to sensorless mode during their runs .

What we have found is that many are not shimming their motors either to tight or to loose when either changing rotors or during maintenance and some dont do any maintenance at all especially off road were the sensors board hall sensors do get dirty .Some brand of motors dont shim the motors correctly from factory so you must be aware of this issue

No matter what motor you run the shimming has to be perfect or you will encounter errors .It is not the software or the esc in many occasions but what i have discussed in this post .

Shimming is very important to align the rotor with the hall sensors of the motor sensor board for limited errors and performance issues.

Thank you for your time and happy racing.

Motors are different in design but id say about 0.5mm of play just make sure the sensor is as close as you can get it to the rotor end with 0.5mm play when moving the rotor shaft.

I had problems with running the hobbywing xtreme stock in 13.5 boosted going into sensorless mode earlier in the year, this would only occur in the finals from a standing start, it seemed to be worse the taller the gearing i ran. This happened with a nosram motor and a gm motor, both shimmed correctly. Towards the end of my outdoor season here in the UK i got myself a new hobbywing v3.1 stock spec. I have not had any problems since, and it has so much more bottom end grunt, it runs cooler and the brakes are also a hell of a lot better as well

HiH
Ed
I see that there are setup sheets for the esc I have the extreme stock combo with the 13.5 and 17.5 motors. Is there a place that you can go to view other racers setups and also upload mine to perhaps help over racers
