Try 9000 or 10500 mate and see for yourself. the combination of motor timing, low ratio and high boost start means the motor and gearing are dong all the hard work and if you are mashing it then the turbo is kicking in before the boost but the set up below has a low turbo so you dont notice it as much.

Track is very large. Here is a link.

If you click to the latest update you will see the slight changes that were made to the track. Would have to be at least a 40m straight.

Default Looking for starting poin

I'm new in 1/12 and brush less stuff. Car is ready, needs to find out, how to set up for the first training day.

Setup:

1/12 CRC, 10.5 Novak balastic, xerun 60A V2, 1S Lipo SMC 5300, Spur gear 64 dp 96 tooth (can change other 64dp size). Radio dx3s.

Track - carpet, not very big, 1 strught about 10-20 metres and turns.

1. pinion tooth? Not sure how to calculate that.
2. Version 1.06_100512 on xerun 60A V2 now. Is it ok? Or I need to put some new version or other more compatible with 1/12? I got program box.
3. Can I remove fun?
4. What settings I should change for starting point in ESC?

I now that lot of information is written before, but there are more than 70 pages and it will take an ages to reed and find everithing I need. So advice would be very help full for me!

cheers

M

Hi all,

I was hoping for a little advice. I'll be running 12th scale this winter and don't want to break the bank with brushless. I'm looking at the 60A versions and was wondering if they work with 1s LiPo, specifically, how to hook up the ESC using a small LiPo Rx pack and voltage regulator. Also, what is the difference between the stock extreme and what I assume is the regular 60A ESC (the black one)? I'm not terribly concerned about timing advance although it's be fun to play around with. I'll be running either 10.5 or 13.5 with a Protek 5000 LiPo. Thanks in advance for any and all advice and help!

Yes you can use this ESC with booster or extra battery pack. I prefer booster.

Hey guys,

I don't know how many of you run the new 2.0 ESCs from Hobbywing....but i have two cases that i thought i would be able to use (i have a SP 1.0 with a broken case) and got the 2.0 and the 1.0 escs from HW mixed up..so PM me if you are interested..won't let em go for free (since i did put money into these)..so maybe $10 shipped each? they are black for xerun 120a v2

I have Windows 7, but you were right. I ran as administrator and 528mod is there

I have asked like 3 of 4 times before why I couldn't see 528mod and people keep giving me the run around. Thanks for your help.

Here is my track.

Well I run on a track simillar size with a 13.5. I cannot stand irregular jumps in torque, it just overheats the tires indoors.

With a new 17.5 GM motor, i'd gear it at around 5.50 to 6.00 with stock timing.

I always do RPM start 3,000-4,000rpm which makes ramp smooth
Timing Punch - try -3 or -4 which is a long ramp for a 17.5 for smooth acceleration)
Turbo - Max
Turbo delay 0.2
DDRS 7

The new 1s XERUN is available according to my price list, maybe ask Angelo if he can get you one in from HW?

Cheers
