The computer is only for to change the firmware(modified, stock, off road), you can do at home, in the track, all control is easily accessible with LCDbox or LED program card.

Hi, I have been told that certain motors don't like the turbo software e.g the duo 2.
Has anyone got a favorite motor for the following classes; 13.5t and 21.5t
I don't want to buy a motor and find out it's not competitive.
Thanks

Not sure who is telling you that... there are a lot of people using Duo 2's with turbo software (including me)... maybe the only downside is that so far I have to use less timing overall, but speed wise there is nothing wrong with them at all

I love the Duo variants and in particular the Team Fantom and Express Motors sport versions are extremely good. Duo 2 motors have about 10 degrees of timing at the Zero mark on the can so full boost and turbo will kill it. I have not bothered to buy a V3Sp as the Duos have been such a good motor.

no it's not 10 degrees of timing,....
it's Dangerously +40 degrees to -40 degrees motor Timing.

So a total of 80 degrees of timing in such a short space of adjustment

It all depends what you want to get out of it .If your going to run the 528 mod i dont recommend it i also dont approve a 3 cell battery either .

2 cell battery is perfect with no turbo function also what brand of motor as alot are different in resistance and kv rating as i have noticed with tekin and there high rated kv 10.5T etc .were the hobbywing an the duo's are near 1500kv less so it all depends .Go 6.5T to be safe like i said many motors are different .

HW 528MOD is available!
If you use Vista you run the program as an administrator and he will appear.

So what would be a good 17.5 motor to boost? Our track has no A/C and is sometimes pretty warm..Also some start settings would be nice.

Here is my track.

Here are my settings from a big meet here last weekend. Car was wicked fast.

T3 FDR 4.9
Duo 2 17.5 timing between 1st and 2nd tick approx 10 degrees

Drrs 2
AMTS 21*
start rpm 10500
SC boost 3
SC delay 0.2
punch -2

Car ran 0.2 slower than a Tekin v208 with a 14yo gun driver vs myself a 34yo mid pack hack. Very happy with this set up.

How large was the track? 10500 start rpm seems way too high for a 17.5t
