Im sure the v3 will only be available through specialized stores that cater for the racer and that can support track side and inhouse support . All the pure New racing products from hobbywing will go that way .

The release is this month not next and there is only 150 units being manufactured at the moment and to be honest i dont think everyone will get one from this batch .
What colors will be available for the first batch? is 150 for US or worldwide? If worldwide, do you know what distribution is coming to the US? Assuming CRC will have them on their online store when available...

Time will tell if this is a good idea or not .. for me as a club racer ( and not a very fast one ) probably won't end up with V3 if i can't get it from my usual suppliers, just keep buying the V2. If i could get it from them i probably would .. just because its new :-) .. net effect less sales imo.

If you want better coverage (support) at club meetings i suggest sponsored drivers that have a vested interest in supporting the local club drivers.

Exactly my local shops have ZERO inventory and takes weeks to months to get them in. I had been looking forward to the V3 and now it looks like hobbypartz may not even carry it made me more than a little mad. Dont screw with the customer base now we love the products but if we have to fight to find them I will go with someone else then.

Anyone know if CRC plans on getting the V3 straight out of the gate? I emailed them but never got a response (hopefully if I buy it from them I'll get better customer service...)

CRC should be bringing them in right off the bat, seeing as they are HobbyWing North America now.

Cobra has been posting about it, they will be releasing them soon (next few weeks hopefully) but not in mass quantities due to materials. They do not have all the materials to make a large batch of the new ESC.

But for now i will continue to do great and enjoy my V2.1

Angelo,

Any info on when the 1s version of the V3 will be out? Also, will the 1s need an external capacitor stack?

Does the normal 2s V3 need a capacitor stack?

Hope so, thank you!
